Spring Break Outreaches

Join us for Spring Break Outreach 2010!

King’s Kids El Paso presents YOU with an opportunity to make an eternal difference!

Spring Break will be in El Paso, Texas. Due to drug cartel violence and increasing crime in Juarez, we are not holding Spring Break there for the second time in 15 years. We look forward to the situation in Juarez stabilizing so we can return soon, but starting last year we took a fresh approach to Spring Break Outreach. We know the Lord has another plan for 2010 and would like to offer an alternative plan to the groups who look forward to Spring Break in Mexico with us each year, as well as to the UN1FY youth ministers’ network in El Paso and other interested groups and families nationwide.

We would like to offer our experience in ministry training, family friendly large group camps and outreaches to serve and inspire your youth.  This plan gives opportunity for many leaders not only to bring their youth but to participate with them, lead in numerous areas and help make a life changing week possible for hundreds of youth from across the country.

Program Tracks - groups choose five tracks and rotate to a new track daily. Youth groups stay together but several groups will do each track together. A core group of kids and leaders stays with the same track all week and facilitates it for others. We are finalizing the track choices this month, but here's what we plan to offer at this time:

  • Take a stand- using a pro-life theme,  pray/ silent protest outside 2 clinics and Planned Parenthood, study the issues, video (non- graphic due to younger kids’ involvement), write letters, apply principles to other areas of our culture in which Christians must take a stand.
  • Serving the poor- homeless shelters, rescue missions, plaza, mobile teams
  • Intercessory prayer at the significant locations in the city, teach on 7 spheres of influence (Family, Church, Government, Business, Education, Media, Culture)
  • Reaching El Paso’s colonias 1- Vacation Bible School, Bible distribution
  • Reaching El Paso’s colonias 2- service projects/light construction in cooperation with local churches
